Who we are
Cloud Crafters UK is a sole trader business operated by Emlyn Roberts, based in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Emlyn Roberts is the data controller for any personal data collected through this website.
What data we collect
When you submit a form on this site (for example to request a free demo site or get in touch), we collect:
- Your name
- Your business name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Any additional information you choose to include (such as your current website URL or a message)
We do not collect payment details, financial information, or any special category data through this site. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies unless you explicitly consent to them. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How we use your data
We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry, discuss your project, and (if you choose to proceed) deliver our web design services. We do not use your data for marketing emails, and we do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
Our legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you tick the privacy checkbox and submit a form, and, where relevant, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.
Where your data goes
Cloud Crafters UK is a very small operation: form submissions are sent as an email directly to Emlyn Roberts and read only by him. There is no CRM, mailing list, or marketing software involved. To deliver that email, your submission passes through two service providers acting on our behalf:
- SMTP2GO: our transactional email delivery provider, used only to send the enquiry email to us.
- Cloudflare: our website hosting provider, which runs the form's submission handler.
These providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards required under UK GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) apply. Neither provider is authorised to use your data for their own purposes.
How long we keep your data
Enquiry emails are kept in our inbox for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the duration of our working relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. See "Your rights" below.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email emlyn@cloudcraftersuk.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We have received your data privacy request in the same way whether you call it a complaint, an objection, or a deletion request. In accordance with data protection law, we will investigate and provide a formal response within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
